Amy Sturch is in her second year as a graduate assistant coach with the Southern Arkansas softball program. A native of Oshawa, Ontario, she came to SAU from Belmont Abbey (N.C.) College.
Sturch spent the 2005 and 2006 seasons playing softball at Belmont Abbey where she was a Second Team All-CVAC selection in her senior year and was also named to the CVAC All-Tournament Team. As a junior in 2005, she was a First Team All-Region and First Team All-CVAC pick, and was named to the NCCSIA All-State Team.
Prior to being at Belmont Abbey, Sturch played two years at St. Petersburg (Fla.) College. She was an Academic All-Conference and Academic All-State selection in 2003 and 2004, and was named to Who’s Who Among Junior College Students in 2003.
Sturch has worked at numerous softball skills camps and with softball teams in Ontario.
