JOPLIN, Mo. – The Mulerider 4x400 meter relay team of
Tyrenzo Banks,
Raymond Miller, Shonquill Atkins, and
Addison Ross raced to a second-place finish in a crowded 16-team field with a final time of 3:24.88 to highlight seven top 10 finishes by the program on the final day of action at the indoor Lion Open hosted by Missouri Southern State.
Miller, who qualified for the final event of the 60 meter hurdles, bettered his time preliminary time on Friday by logging a second-place finish in 8.35. Ross blazed to a fourth-place finish in a 35 sprinter 400 meter event and finished the event in 51.12.
Aurthur Jeffrey registered a mark of 46' 9" in the triple jump as he placed fourth in the event and
Torrie Whetsell followed in ninth place with a final mark of 44' 4".
Richard Barkhimer placed eight in the high jump (6' 1 ½") and
Donald Robinson finished in eighth place in the 600 yard event (1:17.36).
Aaron Linnear,
Larry Booker,
Justin Franklin, and
Oluwaseun Amosun also competed as a team in the 4x400 meter relay and place tenth with a time of 3:33.06.
