RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – For the third consecutive week, Southern Arkansas has claimed one of the league's weekly top performers as senior outfielder
Brooke Goad has been tabbed the Great American Conference's Player of the Week for her offensive output this past weekend in the 6-State Classic in Emporia, Kansas as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Goad's hot start to the season continued in Kansas as the senior slashed a ridiculous .500/.714/2.000. Goad collected four hits in eight at bats and all four left the yard as she finished the weekend with seven RBI, five runs scored, and 16 total bases. Additionally, Goad walked six times.
Her seven home runs in 2018 lead the Great American Conference and rank second nationally in Division II. The seven dingers have moved the slugger into sixth place all-time on the DII Career Home Runs chart.
This is Goad's third GAC Player of the Week honor in her career.
