RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Southern Arkansas senior outfielder Trevor Rucker has been named as the Great American Conference Player of the Week as it was announced by the league office on Monday.
 
For Rucker, it is his second GAC Player of the Week honor this year as he earned the weekly conference award at the very beginning of the season. This time around, Rucker, a native of Prescott, Ark., had a tremendous week at the plate as he helped SAU sweeps its seventh GAC series of the season.
 
In the series against Harding, Rucker hit .455 as he went 5-for-11 with a double, three (3) homeruns, eight (8) RBIs and six (6) runs scored. His slugging percentage for the week was an eye-popping 1.364 as four of his five hits went for extra bases. Additionally, Rucker walked twice and had an on-base percentage of .500.
 
Rucker's big week kept him atop the GAC rankings in Runs Scored (47), Homeruns (12), and Total Bases (111).
