Billy Germaine has been named the Great American Conference's Player of the Week for his high-powered offensive output this past weekend as announced by league officials on Monday afternoon in Russellville, Arkansas.
Germaine had a monstrous weekend at the plate as he hit .727 (8-for-11) in a 2-1 series win over East Central. Of his eight base hits, seven went for extra bases as he collected three doubles and belted four home runs. The senior from Aldergrove, British Columbia, tallied a dozen RBI, seven runs scored, and a pair of walks, while boasting a .733 on-base percentage and a ridiculous 2.091 slugging percentage.
In Saturday's doubleheader win, Germaine tallied 11 RBI as he went 7-for-8 at the plate, while also scoring six runs. Germaine is second in the Great American Conference with 15 home runs after entering the weekend with 11.
Monday's weekly league honor for Germaine is his first of the season and the fifth time overall that a Mulerider has earned Player/Pitcher of the Week by the GAC this spring.
The Muleriders will now shift their attention to their final mid-week game of the year as they are set to play host to Henderson State on Tuesday, April 26. First-pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Walker Stadium at Goodheart Field.
