FINAL RESULTS
EL DORADO, Ark. – One stroke made all the difference for the Southern Arkansas men's golf team and in particular for junior golfer
George Adams as SAU and Adams claimed the team and individual titles at the Mulerider Spring Classic by one stroke each.

The Muleriders, as a team, shot 322 for Tuesday's final round and had a two-round total of 637, one stroke better than second-place Rend Lake College, who had a four-stroke lead over SAU after Monday's opening round.

Adams was the top individual finisher with
a two-round score of 151 (+7)Adams, who was tied for the lead with Rend Lake's Blake Swofford through round one, shot a +6 (78) on Tuesday, but Swofford's +13 on Tuesday took him out of contention. Improving by four strokes and carding a +2 (74) on Tuesday was East Central's Jason Goben as he finished second overall, one stroke behind Adams.

Scoring for the Muleriders on Tuesday was Pablo Lavin,
Jacob Etherington and
Kyle Gordon. Lavin was two shots better from Monday and carded a +7 (79). Etherington matched his opening round score of 81 and Gordon dropped a stroke on Tuesday with an 84.

Competing as individuals for the Muleriders, but finishing in the top-five individually were
Kirk Peterson and
Luke Williams. Peterson was one stroke better in the final round and shot a +5 (77) to end with a two-round total of 155, placing him third overall. Williams turned in a two-round score of 158 to finish in a tie for fourth-place.

The Muleriders will be at the links next week as they head to the Big Creek Golf and Country Club in Mountain Home, Ark. for the First Federal Bank Invitational, hosted by Henderson State. Â
