Official Release
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Mere minutes after it was announced that
Timothy Buchanan was named as the Great American Conference Pitcher of the Week following his dominating no-hitter against Southern Nazarene, Louisville Slugger® named him as one of their six National Players of the Week.
Buchanan, the only non-Division I recipient for this week's Louisville Slugger® National Player of the Week, tied a career-high with 12 strikeouts in his seven-inning no-hitter against Southern Nazarene.
Buchanan is the first Mulerider to earn national player of the week honors this season, and is the first since former Mulerider
Brady Capshaw was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writer's Association (NCBWA) in April of 2013.
