Landon Keopple – Wide Receivers

Coach Landon KeoppleLandon Keopple begins his first season on the Southern Arkansas football staff and coaches wide receivers, as well as serving as the Muleriders’ strength and conditioning coordinator. His recruiting areas include northwest Arkansas, parts of east Texas and the Dallas area.

Keopple came to SAU from Ouachita Baptist University where he spent the previous two years as a graduate assistant coach in charge of the wide receivers. During his tenure at OBU, he coached an All-American receiver and helped lead the Tigers to their first winning season in 25 years.

Prior to being at Ouachita Baptist, Keopple spent the 2006 season at Arkansas High School in Texarkana, working as an assistant coach under his father, current Southern Arkansas Head Coach Bill Keopple. Landon worked with the receivers at Arkansas High and helped guide the team to the 6A state championship.

Keopple was an All-State quarterback at Fayetteville High School in 2000. He attended the University of Central Arkansas where he was a member of the golf team before transferring to the University of Tulsa. Keopple was a three-year letterman in football with the Hurricane and served as a team captain his senior season of 2005 when Tulsa won the Conference USA championship. The Hurricane defeated Fresno State in the Liberty Bowl that year, and he also played in the 2003 Humanitarian Bowl against Georgia Tech.

Keopple holds a B.B.A. in accounting from Tulsa in 2006 and is completing work this year on his Masters in sports management from Henderson State University.
