Kendall Hill begins his second year as a member of the Southern Arkansas staff and serves as defensive line coach and strength and conditioning coach.
Hill, a former All-Region and All-Gulf South Conference defensive end for the Muleriders, returned to SAU from West Mesquite (TX) High School where he also coached the defensive line and was the strength and conditioning coach for two seasons (2004-2005).
A teammate of fellow staff member Trey LaValle, Hill played at Southern Arkansas from 1996-99 and was a key member of the 1997 GSC co-championship team. He was a Second Team All-South Region selection in both 1997 and 1998, and was a First Team All-GSC pick in 1999 and second team selections in 1997 and 1998. Hill finished his Mulerider career with 140 tackles (65 solo), 37 tackles for loss, including 22 sacks, six passes broken up, one forced fumble, and two fumble recoveries. He went on to play in both the Canadian and Arena Football Leagues.
Hill earned his B.A. in liberal arts from SAU, and is currently working towards his master’s degree. He and his wife, Sonya, have one son, Zacchea.
