Lady Muleriders Lose in Four Sets to Lady Reddies

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Tatiana Kuhn had a match-high 31 kills in leading Henderson State to a four-set win over Southern Arkansas in Gulf South Conference volleyball action Thursday at the Duke Wells Center. The Lady Muleriders fell by scores of 17-25, 25-23, 19-25, 20-25.

Kuhn had a whopping 77 attacks on the night and hit .260, with 11 errors. She got help from teammate Robin Law who added 16 kills.

The Lady Reddies hit .184 as a team, totaling 61 kills with 28 errors. SAU finished with 43 kills and 21 errors in hitting .144.

Senior outside hitter Danielle Sneed (Duncanville, Texas) paced Southern Arkansas with 12 kills, while sophomore hitter Jordan White (Longview, Texas) chipped in 11. Freshman libero Crystal Roberts (Hutto, Texas) led the Lady Muleriders defensively with 18 digs, junior setter Michaela Scroggins (The Colony, Texas) added 12, and freshman defensive specialist Courtney Nutt (Crosby, Texas) had 11.

Bethany Wright finished with a match-high 36 digs for HSU.

SAU concludes its 2009 season Tuesday when they host Ouachita Baptist at 7 p.m. in the W.T. Watson Athletic Center.
