SEARCY, Ark. – Harding handed Southern Arkansas a 3-0 shutout (18-25, 19-25, 12-25) in Gulf South Conference volleyball action Thursday at Rhodes Field House. It was the Lady Muleriders fifth consecutive blanking and 10th in their past 11 matches.
The Lady Bisons racked up 35 kills and hit .282, while SAU finished with 32 kills, but had 21 attack errors in hitting .113.
Harding got nine kills apiece from Samantha Anderson and Manuela Nesheva. Sarah Phipps, Emily Tate and Nesheva had match-highs of eight digs each.
Senior outside hitter Danielle Sneed (Duncanville, Texas) recorded a match-high 10 kills to lead Southern Arkansas. Freshman libero Crystal Roberts (Hutto, Texas) and freshman defensive specialist Courtney Nutt (Crosby, Texas) had seven digs apiece, and sophomore Katy Kidwell (Whitehouse, Texas) finished with three blocks.
The Lady Muleriders return home Tuesday to host Arkansas Tech in a 7 p.m. match.
