SAU’s Bell Recognized on Academic Team

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Southern Arkansas outside hitter Sarah Bell (Sr., 5-8, Houston, Texas) has been named to the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI volleyball team. She was selected to the third team, sporting a 3.68 cumulative GPA in exercise science with a minor in Spanish.
Bell is a three-time member (2005-2007) of the Gulf South Conference Academic Honor Roll, has twice been named to the Southern Arkansas President’s List (4.00 GPA) and is a three-time member of the Dean’s List (minimum 3.50 GPA). A two-year starter for the Lady Muleriders, the senior was second on this year’s squad in kills (282), kills per set (2.54), digs (239) and points (328). Bell ends her four-year career at SAU with 524 kills and 606 digs.
