MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Southern Arkansas libero Mallory McKee has been named the Gulf South Conference volleyball West Division Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in the Lady Muleriders’ two matches last week.
McKee (Sr., 5-4, Coppell, Texas) averaged 9.25 digs per set in compiling a total of 74. She recorded
the 17th and 18th 30-plus and fourth 40-plus dig matches of her career, racking up 42 against Arkansas-Monticello and following that up with 32 versus Henderson State. McKee’s 42 digs in the UAM match was the second highest total in school history, just two shy of her school record 44. With the 32 digs in the HSU match, she went over 500 for the season, a feat she has accomplished all four years of her career. McKee also added a kill, and two assists and service aces on the week.
The honor is McKee’s second this season and fourth of her career.
