DECATUR, Ala. – Southern Arkansas used a 7-5 win Sunday over Bellarmine (Ky.) to finish 1-3 over the weekend in the Alabama-Huntsville Charger Chillout at Wilson Morgan Park.

The Lady Muleriders’ two games against Kentucky Wesleyan and Indianapolis (Ind.) slated for Friday were rained out, but play resumed as scheduled on Saturday and Sunday.

SAU dropped 11-3 and 8-0 decisions to Northern Kentucky and Truman State (Mo.), respectively, on Saturday, both ending in five innings on the eight-run rule. Sunday’s opening game was another five-inning contest, this one a 9-0 loss to Barry (Fla.), before Southern Arkansas was able to salvage the weekend with the win over Bellarmine.

No other information was available from the Chillout. Game information and statistics will be provided as they are made available.

The Lady Muleriders (4-4) are off until this weekend when they travel to Pittsburg, Kan., to participate in the Pittsburg State Classic II. SAU will face host Pittsburg State on Saturday at noon, take on Northwest Missouri State at 2 p.m., and conclude the day against Missouri Southern State at 6 p.m. The classic will continue on Sunday with Southern Arkansas facing Nebraska-Omaha at 10 a.m. and Henderson State at 2 p.m.
