BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – It is another first for baseball in Division II as the NCAA South Central Region Tournament will be available free to parents and fans from across the country on live broadband television at their own computer screens. The schools involved in the Regional from the Gulf South Conference and Lone Star Conference along with the initiative from the GSC Office and the cooperation from the NCAA and Penn Atlantic have paved a way to provide the television production to the internet, bringing NCAA baseball into homes across the nation.

Penn Atlantic serves as the host site as it was for the GSC Baseball Tournament but all fans need to do is log on to www.ncaa.com and follow the direct link on the website to catch the free broadcasts. There will also be a link from the GSC Website, www.gulfsouthconference.org, enabling fans to click in and catch the live action.

Providing play-by-play for all the games is GSC Baseball Contact Michael Banks. Banks, who earned a degree in broadcasting from the University of Alabama, will be joined in the booth by different coaches, administrators and staff from the region, giving you a comprehensive view of the four-day championship event in Cleveland, Miss. beginning Thursday, May 15.

First pitch is Thursday at 11 am, when No. 3 seed West Alabama takes on fourth-seeded Abilene Christian. No. 2 Southern Arkansas squares off against fifth-seeded Ouachita Baptist at 3 pm while top seed and host Delta State faces No. 6 Texas A&M-Kingsville at 7 pm. All times are Central and schedule is subject to change. Please log on to www.ncaa.com or www.gulfsouthconference.org for updated schedules and times.
