[April 9, 2008] By: Houston Taylor MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Southern Arkansas’ scheduled baseball games today at Henderson State have been canceled. The two teams were to meet in a 1 p.m. non-conference doubleheader (7/7), but rain forced the cancellation. The Muleriders, who have already lost four games to either rain or winter conditions this season, are trying to re-schedule with the Reddies for possibly Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. Tuesday’s scheduled non-conference solo game at Arkansas-Monticello had been canceled previously by UAM officials. Second-ranked SAU (33-4) hosts Christian Brothers in a three-game Gulf South Conference series this weekend at Mulerider Field. Saturday’s doubleheader (9/7) is set for 3 p.m., while Sunday’s solo begins at 2 p.m. This weekend is Southern Arkansas’ final home series of the regular season. They close out the home portion of their schedule April 23 in a single nine-inning contest with Montevallo. |
