MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Andrea Spradlin, a setter for Southern Arkansas, has been selected to the college division 2007 ESPN The Magazine Third Team Academic All-District VI Volleyball Team.

A 5-6 senior out of Creekview High School in Dallas, Texas, Spradlin has a 3.84 GPA in accounting at the university. She was named last year to the Gulf South Conference All-Academic Team and is a three-time (2004-2006) GSC Academic Honor Roll selection, and will repeat in 2007. Spradlin is a four-time member of the SAU President’s List, having earned a 4.00 GPA in those four semesters, and is a member of the Dean’s List with one semester of a minimum 3.50 GPA at the university.

A starter who split setting duties the past two years, Spradlin led the 2007 squad in assists (551) and assists per game (5.35). She shared second-high honors on the team with 24 service aces, and also added 195 digs.

Spradlin was a first team selection on last year’s academic all-district team.
