DURANT, Okla. – Southern Arkansas hasn’t had much luck on the road this season and those woes continued Tuesday as the Lady Muleriders were defeated 3-1 (25-30, 30-16, 20-30, 20-30) by Southeastern Oklahoma State at Bloomer Sullivan Gym.

It was the fourth straight loss for SAU (6-17) following a season-high three-match winning streak, which ironically began with a 3-2 defeat of the Savage Storm September 25 in Magnolia. The win snapped an 11-match losing streak for SOSU (5-14).

Southeastern Oklahoma got double-digit kills from Jordan Parks (15), Destiny Brown (13), and Krista Stamp (11) in picking up the victory. Lindsay Ellisor tossed up 47 assists for her teammates, and Brown and Jackie Arend each had three service aces. Defensively, Kristen Stevens finished with 16 digs.

Kristina Daily led Southern Arkansas with 11 kills, while Cristina Correa added nine. Kayli Kerr and Andrea Spradlin served up 19 and 17 assists, respectively, and Daily had three service aces. Mallory McKee got on the floor for a match-high 27 digs, Shelly Jones and Correa chipped in 13 apiece, and Spradlin had 11. Daily finished with seven blocks at the net.

SAU returns to conference action Thursday when they travel to Searcy to take on Harding in a 7 p.m. match. Southern Arkansas returns home October 16 for a 7 p.m. match with Arkansas Tech.
