MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Southern Arkansas guard Goldie White has been named the Gulf South Conference West Division Player of the Week for her performances last week. It’s the first such honor of her career.

White, a 5-8 true freshman from Hampton, was instrumental in leading the Lady Muleriders to wins over both Harding and Arkansas-Monticello. She shared game-high honors with 28 points in taking SAU past Harding, clinching the third-seed from the West Division in the upcoming GSC tournament for SAU. White also had team-highs of eight rebounds and six assists in the win. She recorded a game-high 25 points in the win at UAM, her 15th consecutive game in double-figure points. She also pulled down five rebounds, dished out three assists, and grabbed two steals. White averaged 26.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game, shooting 57.6 percent from the floor, including 54.5 percent on treys, for the week.
