MAGNOLIA, Ark. – Southern Arkansas center Kim Davis has received her second consecutive Gulf South Conference West Division Player of the Week honor. It’s her third this season and the ninth of her career.
Davis, a 6-1 senior from Mountain Home, averaged a double-double in three games last week, leading the Lady Muleriders to a 2-1 record. She posted 19 points and 15 rebounds in an upset at 25th-ranked Henderson State on Thursday, and followed that up with her ninth consecutive double of the season by scoring 19 points and pulling down 11 boards in a loss to Arkansas Tech on Saturday. Davis ended the reporting week on Monday by recording 14 points, five rebounds, and two steals in SAU’s non-conference neutral site win over Dixie State. Her 14 points pushed her to fifth all-time on the SAU scoring list with 1,216 points in her career.
