MAGNOLIA, Ark. – A former coach, a student-athlete from the golden era, four more from the modern era, and one for meritorious service, will be inducted into the 2006 Southern Arkansas University Sports Hall of Fame. SAU’s fourth Hall of Fame class will be honored at halftime of the Mulerider football game against Delta State University, September 30.

MAGNOLIA, Ark. – The Southern Arkansas University baseball team has set its schedule for alumni activities for Homecoming 2006 on Saturday, October 14. Highlighting the weekend activities is the return of the 1987 Mulerider team for the 20th anniversary celebration of its third-place finish in the 1987 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) World Series.

Magnolia, Ark. – Southern Arkansas Head Coach Allen Gum has announced a late addition to the Mulerider summer baseball camps. The camp is a one-day program scheduled for Wednesday, July 5, for ages 6-12.
The camp will run from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., with a cost of $40. All campers need to bring a sack lunch, or $5.00 for lunch in the SAU cafeteria. The camp registration deadline is Monday
Magnolia, Ark. – Southern Arkansas Head Coach Allen Gum has announced the date for the latest summer Mulerider baseball camp. The camp, in three sessions, is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, July 10-11, for ages 13-15.
Session one will be held on July 10 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., and will emphasize
hitting. Session two’s focus will be on fielding, and will be held July 10 from 1 p.m. – 4
Magnolia, Ark. – Jeremy Hambrice, a junior first baseman at Southern Arkansas University, was selected in the 31st round (934 overall) of the Major League Baseball amateur draft Wednesday by the New York Mets. The 6-2, 215-pound Magnolia native will sign with Met scout Larry Chase today (Thursday).
